Covisian Group signs the UN Global Compact

Covisian Group, signs the UN Global Compact in Spain, an initiative that leads business sustainability in the world.

By adhering to the UN Global Compact, the Covisian Group commits to aligning all its corporate operations with the Ten Universally Accepted Principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment and the fight against corruption. In addition, Covisian will take action in support of the United Nations goals embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Spain, where more than 1,500 organizations have subscribed to the Ten Principles and which now includes the Covisian Group, is one of the five local networks with the largest number of adhered entities and most relevant internationally.

According to César López, CEO of Covisian in Spain and Latam, “At Covisian we have always been committed to business sustainability. With this signature, we integrate the Ten UN Principles as part of our strategy, our culture and in each of the operations we carry out daily. Furthermore, we will promote the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals in order to do our bit to create the world we all want.”

About the UN Global Compact:

It is the United Nations initiative that leads business sustainability in the world. It has more than 20 years of experience and more than 70 local networks globally, among which is the Spanish one, which has been, since its creation, one of the first national platforms of the Global Compact with more than 1,500 associated entities. Of these, 31% are large companies, 54% are SMEs and 15% correspond to other types of organizations (third sector, business associations and educational institutions).

Its objective is to promote the implementation of the Ten Principles of the Global Compact while promoting the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals in the business sector, being the only organization that has a United Nations mandate for this purpose.
